Around 19 June 2026, institutions, student unions and organisations around the world marked the day on campus, online or in a hybrid form. Events held for the “Knowledge Without Borders” theme included:
- An international evening where students present their countries, languages and study traditions
- A panel with exchange students and alumni who studied abroad
- A virtual classroom or joint lecture connecting two or more partner universities
- A session on the recognition of qualifications and how to make study abroad count
- A "partnership speed dating" meeting for staff who look for new international partners
