Registration is open for the 2027 edition of International Higher Education Day. Universities, colleges, research institutes, student unions and organisations from any country are invited to take part, and taking part is free of charge.

Choose your day

19 June remains the symbolic date of the day. In 2027 it falls on a Saturday, and some institutions are closed on 19 June or at weekends, so you can celebrate on 19 June or on any day of the Monday-to-Sunday week that contains it. In 2027 that is 14 to 20 June. On site, online and hybrid events are all welcome.

Three simple steps

  1. Plan. Pick a format and a day. The ideas page has nine suggestions to get you started.
  2. Register. Submit your institution and your event. After a short review by the IHED team they appear on this website.
  3. Share. Use the toolkit and the hashtag of the year to spread the word.
